Ramsey Grammar High School student, Jack Christian recently completed a work placement with us and it was a real pleasure to welcome him to the team and give him an insight into our business and the world of work. Here’s what he had to say:
I approached Auxesia for my work experience because I’ve been enjoying business studies in school and wanted to get a feel for what it’s like working in a more strategic position.
During my two week placement I learnt some key aspects of business including types of investments, business consultancy and the main concepts business planning. I think this will not only benefit me in my exams but also in later life as I’m considering studying business at A level and potentially university. I’ve also seen that working in an office isn’t all serious; it can also be fun and interesting and staff of Auxesia group of companies have a balanced ‘work-play’ environment, which I think is paramount for productivity in the business.
Throughout the two weeks I enjoyed all of the tasks I completed. My favourite assignment was definitely creating a business plan because I think it had the most relevance to the aspects of business I have enjoyed most throughout my studies. I also really enjoyed searching and emailing potential investors, and gaining an understanding of what type of funding is available to businesses and which is best to use in certain situations.
Working at Auxesia was thoroughly enjoyable and a very worthwhile experience. I would definitely recommend this for anyone interested in learning more about business.
We were pleased to see how well Jack did during his placement with him and we’re confident he’s got a bright business future ahead of him.
